Products such as these do not come around often. It's great for what it was designed to do, and since it is just Windows Server 2003 in the background, you can install whatever apps you might need on it too. Just get the Advanced Admin Console add-in, and you can add shortcuts to open whatever program you'd need over the net. The tray's are nice, it has a small footprint, its generally silent (I have put a fan on it though, since my living environment is very hot. Its a preventive measure), you can install any program you'd like on it, connecting is a charm, and above all, it costs a whole $100 less than its most direct competitor. Greatly recommended.

I first helped my parents install an Aspire Home Server to help manage all there business files and later I bought one for myself. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. Its time consuming to get everything set up and running but there's no way around that. Once all your files are transferred and all the updates are installed you really don't have to do anything. I currently have two 1TB drives installed with plenty of room to expand. My kids can watch movies from one computer, while I listen to music on another and upload files without any trouble. I pretty much wiped everything off of all three of my computers and placed it all on the home server. I don't even do backups of my PCs because everything is on the server. For my parents server it was really easy to set up the web site along with all the usernames and passwords. Unfortunately I use Verizon and they block port 80 so I can't set mine up for internet access. There are ways to work around that but I haven't tried it yet. Overall the system is awesome and very affordable. Highly recommended.
