AntMiner S3 478Gh/s SHA-256 ASIC Miner The AntMiner S3 from Bitmain is the new and improved successor to the incredibly popular S1 series. Improvements include the new 28nm BM1382 chips that are considerably more efficient than the previous generation at just 0.77 J/GH as measured from the wall. Additionally, and extra fan has been added to the end of the S3 to allow slower overall fan-speed and thus quieter mining. There is also a heat-shield that has been added which helps to direct airflow. Furthermore, the S3 now allows 4 PCI-E 6-pin power connectors (only 2 actually required) from an ATX power supply - allowing greater overclocking potential.
